Sarah Hackett:
“I met Bob in welding class, he had gentle eyes yet was mean as I had seen with a welding torch. I quickly learned that he was an outside thinker, creativity and innovation and further he never hesitated to help another knowledge seeking mind. Bob would almost always have his guitar out in his car, so while many students would spend there breaks hugging their cell phones, Bob would play a song or two. It was after hearing the first song that he strummed and sang to me that I was witnessing his favorite medium of all. Since that class so many years ago Bob has become a dear friend, he offers a friendship to those around him that runs deep, and connects with people with a sincerity and love that seems increasingly hard to find these days. These two attributes I have witnessed in his human interaction are also very evident in his music. Bob is a poet who can put his reflection to melody. His music has soul, his lyrics have great meaning and the notes he plays brings that meaning to the surface where it can be shared with others in an accessable way. Bob is an artist, a musician, a writer, he is a teacher and a friend. No matter what happens in life one can be assured that good ol’ Bob will be creating something beautiful”.
